It’s been almost a month since I’ve met John Arlo Gilbert and I think his enjoying his stay here in Capiz. John Arlo Gilbert is a foreign friend of my friend and he stays here for a certain project. Arlo Gilbert is almost done with his projects here but he still plans to stay for more weeks I guess. I asked him what he likes most of Capiz. He said he likes the local beach of Capiz, the Roxas City Baybay with a small island Otoloyan that you can see while eating "talaba" on seafood restaurants and he even dig in some gourmet food from San Antonio’s bar and grill. Arlo Gilbert even get a taste of the grilled bangus, smoked salmone salsa gremolata, baked fillet of salmon with gremolata and slow baked cherry tomatoes, some buttered scallops and mayo from this place since they are celebrating their anniversary, Arlo get them all for free. Wee, what a lucky man!
He also told me how clean the place and kind the people in Capiz. Why he said that, well he experienced once when we go to Cogon Panitan, where my wife lives. When we pass to a group of people drinking "TUBA", oldies! He was invited by them to get one "BOL" or glass of the said coconut drink. He really enjoy the sour alcohol native drink of "TUBA".
John Arlo Gilbert really surprises me! He got a good heart that almost everyone in our place loved him and he really fall in love with Capiz.
I’m really disappointed when our plans to go to Boracay were cancelled. I’m really expecting this vacation because I want to relax a little bit. I need this to refresh and remove the stress on my mind. Well, there are things that you can’t really prevented. I might concentrate on the revision of the website of one of my client and continue with my writing on the anime: The Legend of Arlo Gilbert. I’m actually still conceptualizing the appearance of this character.
Wah and I even promise to a friend that I will bring him in Boracay this month. My friend then will bring Mr. John Arlo Gilbert to join us with this vacation. I hope by next week things will change. I hope!
In support to the Roxas City 57th Charter Anniversary , I would like to invite everyone to come and enjoy the clean and green seafood capital of the Philippines. Capiz became a chartered city on May 12, 1951 through House Bill 1528 sponsored by Ramon Acuña Arnaldo, the representative of the First District of Capiz. It was approved by President Elpidio Quirino on April 11, 1951 as Republic Act 608. Consequently, the town was named Roxas City after her greatest son, President Manuel Acuña Roxas, the last president of the Commonwealth and the first president of the Philippine Republic.
Activities prepared by Roxas City Government for the people of Roxas City are related to the services provided by each department of the Roxas City Government. Some of these are: Blood Letting Activities, Local & International Job Fairs and other activities. For more information about this celebration, visit the official website of Roxas City. The other day, I removed the messageboard of this blog due to the increasing number of spam post on the messageboard so I disabled it for the mean time. Aside from spam, I don’t have any time to moderate any post messages on the messageboard since I’m very busy with something this past few days. As you can see, no updates or pictures of the recent festivals and the upcoming Charter Anniversary of Roxas City, Capiz. I still don’t have a digicam to provide pictures here since the money that I should buy for it is spent on the hospitalization of my mother. O, well maybe by the end of June I might purchase one.
My recent activities on my other blogs are:
Well, hope I can post more pictures here and recent happenings and events in Capiz.
