Right now, my family is still recovering to the recent effect of typhoon Frank that hits Capiz. A lot of damages recorded and unrecorded happened due to the said typhoon. This will cause us again to find means to look for financial support to fix all the damages by the said typhoon. The salary day is still far and the only possible option for me is to file a cash advance. My problem is our office is still close and I’m having trouble contacting the accounting office.

Last Friday evening, June 20 Capiz was hit by Super Typhoon Frank. The raging wind brought by the said typhoon brought a lot of damages to the people of Capiz. Major establishments from different part of Roxas City were seriously affected by the said natural event. Kansi which can be found in front of Gaisano Boulevard was flatten to the ground while the Encarnacion which can be found at Plaridel Street feels the rage of the wind claiming the the 3 stories building glasses destroying the building’s glass windows and other items inside the building.
The estimated lost brought by the said calamity is still unknown and yet to be reported by the Capiz authorities. Gov. Vic Tanco declared two days suspension of classes to all levels so that schools and colleges will have time to fix things up. I’ll be posting pictures later if the electricity in our place will back to normal.

Today, the chess tournament to choose the top 4 Capiz Chess Players to join NM Francis Jocson and participate in Iloilo’s Mixed Master Grand Prix this coming August ended successfully. The first place was bagged by Argie Nobleza, a college student from Tiza, Roxas City. The other people who composed the 5 individuals who will represent Capiz were Mr. Francis Lamayo, a teacher from Mambusao, Capiz, Rhyan Amoyo, a high school student from Roxas City and Engr. Anthony Arcangeles.
This team will be exptected by people of Capiz to give honor to our province. Thank you to the government of Roxas City and Capiz for allowing us to use their office as the playing venue for the said event. May you continue your support to chess enthusiasts and young minds. Thank you!
This coming Sunday June 15, 2008, Capiz Chess Association, Inc. will be conducting a chess tournament for Capiz players. The purpose of this chess tournament is to choose top 5 players to participate on the upcoming Mixed Masters Grand Prix Tournament in Iloilo. The format of the game for Sunday will be a 5 rounds Swiss system with a time control of 25 minutes for each players.
Best players of Capiz are expected to participate on this chess tournament. I’ll be playing the said tournament but I’m not sure if I can surpass the skills of chess champions from different part of the province. Well, all I can do is just try and practice. That’s the only thing that I can do for now. So for the meantime I’ll just pause with my Busby SEO Challenge quest.
