What’s Up with Roxas City, Capiz?

July 23, 2008

How’s Roxas City, Capiz after the Typhoon Frank? Well, people recovers from the natural disaster cause by Frank. Houses were build back. Establishment repair damages. Electricity, telephone lines, cable service and internet connection are back to normal. Actually Roxas City was not that really affected compared to other province like Iloilo and Aklan. The problem is the construction of provincial roads were stopped and I think they are resuming it this week.

Yesterday when the rain pours continously, I observed that roads on Roxas Avenue are easily flooded. The possible problem maybe is the drainage system of the streets. It is maybe clogged by garbage or whatever and I don’t know if the city government is trying to do something about this (To whom it may concern, leave your comment about it if you care :) ). But this problem is not that severe, it is because the flood subside after the stop rains. Well, I’m too busy right now and I was not able to visit places in Roxas City, Capiz but definitely this coming August, we will have beach activities and I will take current pictures of Plaza, Baybay and the People’s Park.

Is there a Capizeño out for the Challenge?

July 11, 2008

I raised this question “Is there a Capizeño out there for the Challenge?” because I want to inform everyone in the province of Capiz that there are existing people here in our province that is participating in the world cup competition called the “Busby SEO Challenge” by Busby Web Solutions based in Australia. These SEO practitioners here from Capiz are very enthusiastic in participating with the said challenge. This Capiznon participants have a codename of: bleuKEN and SEOred both a “tumandok” of the province of Capiz. SEOred is more experienced compared to bleuKEN and actually the person who introduces the concept to him. bleuKEN on the other hand is a SEO hobbyist only whose trip is to play with the search engine results and then make money out of it just as a side dish only.  Currently SEOred is working with a lot of clients that request for his service and it will be difficult for him to give time for this kind of challenge while bleuKEN is not that sure if he can overtake other veteran SEO specialists and not confident if he can do this things in a wider range like this Busby SEO Challenge.

All I can say right now is good luck to both of you on this Busby SEO Challenge. If in case, one of you grabe even one of the major prizes it will be the pride of the province and our country! I salute you guys…

Due to this problem on electricty, updates of pictures and other videos of this Typhoon Frank calamity in Capiz, Philippines will be delayed. I’ll try to collect more videos and pictures of this event and post it here whenever it is possible.
