A news portal that uses Tagalog as its primary language in writing the articles with a publishing title of Sikat Ang Pinoy was published originally from Roxas City, Capiz, Philippines. The publisher is known in the province as a simple blogger but planned to build the news portal to salute all pinoy that contributed to uplifting the pride and honor of the country through out the world. The site was published under the Laganap.com domain and composed of different Capiznon bloggers who been active of contributing inspiring articles for several years.

I decided to build again the CAPIZ FORUM and now its back online! That’s right you can go to the forum and share your thoughts their.
After being offline because of some technical problems on the free hosting where I previously host the forum, the Capiz Forum is back for good in my own paid hosting but in just a sub-domain of one of my newly registered domain. I might consider registering a .com site later for the forum but it will be in the future. Hotels, motels, loding houses, apartelle, accommodation in Roxas City, Capiz or any municipalities in the province, you can post your rates or other information about your place, facilities, or anything here. Don’t worry I will not charge anything. As my help to the Capiznon businessmen and entrepreneurs, I will give you a free posting here. As I have mentioned on my previous post, there will be a big chess event that will be happening in Roxas City, Capiz Philippines. It is entitled “Duso… Oras Na!” Capiz Mixed Masters Chess Tournament which is supported by Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sen. Mar Roxas and the provincial government of Capiz which is sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) organized by the Capiz Chess Association, Inc (CCA).
This competition will be held at Gaisano Marketplace, Roxas City on May 9 to 10. You can see from the poster the different prizes at stake that a great wood pusher will bag after winning the tournament. A lot of national masters and club masters will surely participate to this one great event.

Capiz Chess Tournament: Duso… Oras Na this May
This coming summer, May of 2009, Capiz Chess Association, Inc. will have their first ever Open Mixed Master Chess Tournament in the province. This is a first time for the Capiznons to host such prestigious event by the National Chess Federation, Inc. With the support of the Governor and government of Capiz, this chess event will push through. It is expected that a lot of chess masters of all level from different part of the country will visit the province to showcase their wit and mastery in the field of chess games. Hectic Capiznon Bloggers 2009 members and participants will surely have a topic to discuss on their blogs now after this advance announcement.
This event will be organized by the one and only legitimate chess governing body in the province, Capiz Chess Association, Inc. If you wish to know more of the details later, just come back on this post because I will definitely update this, to post the contact details of people where players can register their names so that they could play to this tourney.
I don’t know if I could participate to the tournament but I will definitely give my whole support even I might not able to play. Well every wood pushers of the province are waiting for this. But this event is still coming soon, so stay tuned for more updates.
