Cebu SEO Contest was launched by Lhurey, a Filipino blogger from Cebu that owns the PHBlogger dot net last June 2008. Some students from Capiz are currently participating to the said contest and they actually excel on the 2nd day only. You may wonder what is SEO. SEO or search engine optimization is the term used to describe to apply something to your website to make it rank on search engines and be very visible thus promoting it this way. A lot of practitioners of this SEO are residing here in Capiz and even excel to this kind of field. Now, SEO contests are held to make an easy promotion of a certain website. It is because usually the host requests for a link back to their websites which is good for visibility in search engines.
With regards to the Cebu Seo Contest, the prize to be awarded is not that big but it doesn’t matter to the Capiz participants. All that matters to them is the spirit of participating and learning SEO while enjoying and feeling the competitiveness. I actually join the said contest but I know the possibility of winning it is very low because I joined late. Aside from that my SEO skills can’t be said that it is good enough to grab this kind of Cebu Seo Contest. It doesn’t mean that I win a certain contest previously, I can win this already. That’s not true because I know that there are many of us who can grab this victory.
