As the blog owner of the Capiz.i.ph, I would like to announce to the readers of this blog that I am giving my 100% support to our very own kasimanwa Hon. Mar Roxas for the Philippines Election 2010 for the vice-presidential race. It is simply because I am a Capizenio and I’ll support someone from us to lead our country. For the presidential race, I don’t want to comment about it yet. I want to vote someone not because he was recommended by someone I will vote but I like to vote someone because I think he is worth of my vote.
Mar Roxas have contributed a lot specially in the IT and outsourcing industry. Even he had run as President, I will still vote for this guy. I am what I am right now because of the scholarship grant that I got from their foundation. Without this, I am not here. I know that it sounds like I am just giving back favor or “tumatanaw ng utang na loob” but I think, Roxas can bring change to the country. Even others are thinking the other way.
I hope if Roxas wins, he’ll make us Capiznon to be on his top priority list and bring good change to the whole country. - Sikat Ang Pinoy 2010.
A news portal that uses Tagalog as its primary language in writing the articles with a publishing title of Sikat Ang Pinoy was published originally from Roxas City, Capiz, Philippines. The publisher is known in the province as a simple blogger but planned to build the news portal to salute all pinoy that contributed to uplifting the pride and honor of the country through out the world. The site was published under the Laganap.com domain and composed of different Capiznon bloggers who been active of contributing inspiring articles for several years.

I decided to build again the CAPIZ FORUM and now its back online! That’s right you can go to the forum and share your thoughts their.
After being offline because of some technical problems on the free hosting where I previously host the forum, the Capiz Forum is back for good in my own paid hosting but in just a sub-domain of one of my newly registered domain. I might consider registering a .com site later for the forum but it will be in the future. Don’t worry I will not charge anything. As my help to the Capiznon businessmen and entrepreneurs, I will give you a free posting here. As I have mentioned on my previous post, there will be a big chess event that will be happening in Roxas City, Capiz Philippines. It is entitled “Duso… Oras Na!” Capiz Mixed Masters Chess Tournament which is supported by Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sen. Mar Roxas and the provincial government of Capiz which is sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) organized by the Capiz Chess Association, Inc (CCA).
This competition will be held at Gaisano Marketplace, Roxas City on May 9 to 10. You can see from the poster the different prizes at stake that a great wood pusher will bag after winning the tournament. A lot of national masters and club masters will surely participate to this one great event.
